On the Table, Chaqueta di Paco Peralta

Paco's Jacket

I made my decision. I have one more couture garment in me before 2010 is done. Paco’s jacket it is! I bought the pattern as soon as he started selling it. Tany made the most stunning version of it! Mine is going to take it in a different direction. Where hers is all leather and edgy, I’m making it from this (sold out, sorry) silk taffeta from Gorgeous Fabrics
Brushstroke Silk Taffeta

I’m tracing the pattern now and I’ll make a muslin this weekend. More as it progresses…
Happy sewing!

ahhh … great. I love this fabric. I have also completed a version in plum-colored silk dupion. I hope tomorrow, put the post in my blog. I have yet to take pictures.

Great! I cut out my muslin but my machine is in the shop. Mine will go in a direction different from Tany’s and yours…isn’t fun?

  3. Tany says:

I can’t wait! I love the fabric that you’re using!

I’m wearing my Burda 50s dress today and the prints are reminiscent of each other.
