Well, not so much the bitch part. But today was a wonderful day. Brian, Camille, Joei and Phyllis came up to the studio and we all sewed and socialized! I hadn’t met Brian in person before, but he’s as fun and fantastic as his blog would indicate. It was great fun to all just sit around, sew and talk. I helped Camille with some fit issues on her Chanel-style jacket. Brian worked on a bunch of shirts. Phyllis made good progress on a tunic. Camille and Joei both worked on patterns, and Joei bought some of my heavy muslin for jeans. I worked on my Chanel-style jacket. Alas, I am just a bit short on the trim, so I called M&J to get more shipped out on Monday. I want to finish it by Thursday so I can bring it to Chicago next weekend.
If you have a chance to get together with friends to sew, by all means do it! It’s a fun thing to do, and it’s a wonderful way to socialize with like-minded friends.
Happy sewing and socializing!
How nice…it sounds like a perfect sewing day!
I have been sewing with two friends from work, and it has been great fun. In fact, one was over today working on a dress!
A group of us from the Tailoring Class I have been taking get together once in awile and sew, chat and snack -You know food has to be involved. It is fun, relaxing – in a sewing sort of way- and inspiring too! What better to spend the day than sewing with friends.
