Did You Get Yours Yet?

I got mine! Patterns, that is. Club BMV is having a huge sale through Saturday. For club members only, all patterns are $4.95 each (limit 10 per customer). Here’s what I got:

Vogue 1259 by Donna Karan

I need a few fabulous dresses, ad this one fits the bill beautifully. I think I’ll make it up with

Lightweight Cotton Jersey

Lightweight Cotton Jersey in Plum. How specatacular will that be?

Vogue 1254 by Anne Klein

I just lurve the lines of this dress. It will be interesting doing a FBA on it. I haven’t decided which fabric I want to use for it, but I’m leaning toward a wool crepe. This one has black, white, and a smattering of navy in it, which keeps it interesting without overwhelming me with navy (not my best color).

Fabulous Wool Crepe – Black/White/Navy Melange

Vogue 8744

The raglan lines on this are just spectacular, aren’t they? I just got this rayon doubleknit in, and I think it will look stunning.

Designer Rayon Doubleknit – British Tan

For DH, I got this shirt:

Vogue 8759

I’ll let him pick out the fabric.

And as long as I’m thinking about shirts…

Vogue Basic Design 8747

Love that it has the A/B/C/D options. I need a new white shirt, so I may go with this jacquard.

“Corded” Italian Stretch Cotton Shirting – White

And finally, these leggings will be so fun! I think I’ll make View D

McCalls 6404

I’ve been looking for a pattern to match up with this Super-Stretch Heavy RPL, and this is it!

That’s what I got – how about you?

Happy sewing!

I also love Vogue 1254 by Anne Klein and need a FBA! Would you be willing to post how you do your FBA when you get around to working on the pattern? It would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Welcome back!

I love the neckline on the Anne Klein 1254, but I need to cut back to purchasing only patterns I’d actually wear, not those I’d love to wear if I had the lifestyle to wear them in. I do like AND would wear the 8747 shirt though!

OK, I’ll still purchase dress patterns I can maybe tweak into a top, or those with a high “how’d they do that” factor.

  3. Carol says:

Yes, I did just finish ordering 5 patterns, a Butterick 5645, 5638, Vogue 1257, 1261 and 8750! You picked some great patterns and fabrics!!

  4. Sarah says:

I was just getting ready to place my order! I love Vogue 1259. The pattern description says “no provision for above waist adjustment.” Does this mean that an fba would be impractical/impossible?

  5. Alethia says:

I saw that this morning that Club BMV are having this sale. You’ve made some great choices. I have the Donna Karan on my list as well. Somehow I missed the red dress. I have to revisit this one.

  6. Vita says:

Ditto Lisa’s comment–I love V1254 though I haven’t purchased it yet. I’d love to see your FBA as well. I have to adjust for a D cup, but I think I could make it work. I love your taste in patterns. I can’t wait to see your finished products. Enjoy the journey! Vita

  7. Anne says:

I am about to cut out V1254 – fingers crossed! I love this pattern and I have chosen hot pink wool crepe to brighten up my Australian winter black wardrobe. Any helpful hints ?!
