Adding to that a bit, This is a sleeveless, semi-fitted v-neck top.
Sizing: 6-24. I made a 10
Fabric Used: Petal Drops Rayon Jersey in Red Tones from Gorgeous Fabrics. It’s sold out, sorry, but I do have it in the Brown Colorway.
Needle/Notions Used: Stretch 70/10 needle. Pro-tricot interfacing from Fashion Sewing Supply
Did it look like the photo or drawing when you got through? Yes
How were the instructions? I didn’t use them, and I left them at the office, so I can’t say. This is a very simple top to sew. It takes less than an hour from cutting to finish, even with my slight changes.
Construction Notes: I made a neckline binding, rather than just turning and finishing the neckline as they suggest. I also stabilized the shoulder seams and neckline with tricot interfacing. I serged all the seams and finished the hems with a .5mm wide zigzag stitch, set to 2.5mm length
Likes/Dislikes: It isn’t a dislike, but just worth noting that this may be a little low cut for some folks. You can either raise the neckline or add a wider neckline band to make it higher. I love that it’s bra-friendly and it skims along the body lines very nicely.
Would you do it again? Would you recommend it? Yes and yes. I really like StyleArc’s shoulder and upper chest drafting. It fits much better than the big four. That makes it worth the price right there. I will probably use this as my go-to summer tank pattern.

What a great looking top. I went to look at the pattern and I am between sizes. How did you decide which size to purchase?

Do you have any suggestions regarding how to keep the “V” on a v-neck knit top with the neckline binding? Mine always end up more scoop neck, and I really like a definite “V” shape. Knit interfacing? Hand basting? Stick to wrap style tops? LOL! Seriously, any suggestion you have, I’ll try it! Thanks in advance for any suggestions (and if you’ve covered this before, just let me know when and what to look for and I’ll go look it up!)
*smacks forehead* OK, now that I got past my initial excitement at seeing a v-neck knit top that someone made for themselves, I actually read through the post-tricot interfacing, got it!
Ann…I love the “shape” of this top. The style lines are subtle, but you can tell that the draft is more sophisticated than most for this kind of style. Yours turned out so nice that I think I really “need” this pattern!
