Thanks to age and gravity, my bust point is an inch below that of the dress form (even with a Great Fitting Bra). An easy way to change the bust point is to start with shoulder pads. You can also use bust cups, but these were handy. I catch-stitched them to the padding.
Thanks to some, ah – “asymmetry” in my figure (damned radiation treatments), we ended up doing some creative padding. Using some leftover bouclé, I fashioned a pad and tacked it to the form to fill out the right side.
I still have to finish padding out the waist and hips. I’m not a whole lot bigger than the form, so I am hoping to have it done today.
