Mary Beth at The Stitchery posted about this earlier, but I wanted to let my readers know as well. Marfy has seriously upgraded their website, and it’s a great improvement!
For those who may be unfamiliar, Marfy patterns are high-fashion, high-style Italian patterns. They are single-sized, with no seam allowances, no lining pattern pieces or facings, and no instructions. They are geared toward advanced, or at least fearless, sewing enthusiasts, which is why they probably haven’t made a big splash in the home sewing community. BUT! If you want to up your sewing game, they are the patterns to buy. They have been available through third-party vendors for several years, and I have purchased the catalogues and patterns through them, but I always wished I could go directly to the source and get the latest patterns. Now I can!
When I first found out about the new website, On January 17 to be exact, I placed an order for a catalogue. I think I placed the order around 10 that night. Certainly it was after business hours in Italy. I had no expectations on when I would receive it. In the past it’s taken at least a couple of weeks to receive my catalogue and/or patterns. Surprise! On Monday, January 21, it arrived at my door by courier. Yowza! 4 days? That’s amazing! Other folks who have ordered report similar blazing fast service.
Now the hard part is deciding which of the patterns I will get. I want all of them! Time to sit down with a stack of Post-It notes and get busy.
