Oh. My. Goodness!!!! This is STUNNING! It's a rich color that is woven with black threads in the warp and bright copper in the weft, imparting lovely dimensionality. This is used in formalwear that sells in top boutiques for hundreds of dollars. Make your own with a pattern like Vogue 1542 by Patricia Keay. If separates are more your style, you can make a fabulous pair of cigarette pants using Lekala S2001.
A note about Silk Dupioni - I know silk scares a lot of people. But dupioni is probably one of the easiest fabrics to work with. It doesn't slide as much as other types of silk, and you can even wash it! It will lose its luster and soften up considerably if you machine wash and dry it. You must pre-shrink it if you want to throw it in the dryer, but this is a very forgiving fabric, so have fun with it!
