I've received some DMs on Instagram and Facebook Messenger, but please be aware that I don't check those very often, so if your question is urgent, it's better to email or call.

Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 10 AM to 5 PM Eastern time.

We accept all major credit cards, as well as Paypal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. If we issue you a refund, the refund is made to the original payment source. 

AND, for larger orders, we now accept Shop Pay Installments. This allows you to split your order up into 4 equal payments (paid every two weeks), with no interest and no impact on your credit score.

We use UPS ground or ground saver to ship items in the "Lower 48." Large packages may ship by UPS Ground (in the lower 48). Alaska, Hawaii, and US outlying territories shipments go by USPS. We do flat rate shipping, depending on the size and weight of your package. Domestic shipping rates are:

- Regular shipping: $12(this is the base rate)
- Heavy shipping: $24
- Wicked heavy shipping: $50
- Small items (like thread and bias tape): $6.00

If I can fit your order into a smaller package to bring the shipping cost down, I'll refund any shipping overage back to you.

US and US territory orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING.

Please note that any discounts are applied before shipping is calculated. So if your order totals $200 before discount, and you apply the discount to bring your order below $200, shipping is added back to your order.

Domestic shipping rates cover addresses in the US and US territories, APO and FPO.

International Shipping
We ship to the following countries: Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, European Union, Singapore and Japan. We use Shopify Managed Markets to calculate shipping costs, VAT, and duties. The great news about that is that you know exactly what you will pay before you buy. There are no surprise brokerage fees.

Fabric is priced per-yard, unless otherwise noted (like panels or pieces). The minimum purchase is one yard. We sell fabrics in ½ yard increments, unless indicated otherwise on the fabric's page. The minimum order for yardage is 1 yard. After that, you can increment by .5 yards. 

Fabrics sold by the piece, and panels are sold in increments of 1.

Outlet Store fabrics are sold by the yard, with whole-yard increments.

Fabrics are cut in one continuous piece. If you order quantity 3 yards, we send you a continuous length of fabric measuring 3 yards total.

PLEASE NOTE: on cut yardage (i.e. not pieces or panels), the minimum purchase is 1 yard.

There are some exceptions to this, and we will make it clear in those cases.

Corollary Question: I'm trying to order x yards, but it maxes out at (some number less than x). Why?

The system knows how much inventory we have in stock, and shows that quantity on the fabric's page under the name of the fabric. If you try to order more than we have, it won't let you. For instance, if you want to order 3 yards of a fabric, but we only have 2.5 yards, it will stop at 2.5

If you wish to purchase fabric and have me hold it for up to 4 business days before shipping, please send an email to me as soon as you complete your purchase. I'm happy to combine purchases, if you think you want to add to yours, but you need to let me know along with your order, because I'm famous for shipping lightning fast, and once it's in the Post Office's or UPS' hands, it's gone. All held purchases ship by Friday of the week in which they were bought.

Colors on monitors can vary. Whenever possible, we try to give you the closest Pantone color number with a thumbnail of the color beside the Pantone number. You can click on the Pantone number to see a graphic of it on your monitor.  Pantone numbers are our approximation only. 

Note that we use the Pantone Fashion Home + Interiors FHI Cotton Passport, 2022 edition. If you have one of the older, retail Fashion and Home decks, or the one from Ma Maison, those don't have all the the 2100+ colors in the Passport. If you can't find a number in your smaller deck, just click on the hot link for that color on the fabric page and it will bring up a page of that color from Pantone's online color matcher.

The best way to determine whether a fabric is what you want is to get a swatch. You can request up to 5 swatches of fabrics at no charge. If you need more than 5, each additional swatch is $1. Email us with the SKU numbers (and if you want to get on my good side, please include the name - it makes it SO much easier to find the fabric) of the swatches you would like and your mailing address, and we'll send them out by USPS first class mail. Fabrics with less than 5 yards, clearance fabrics, panels, and individual pieces are not available for swatching.

At Gorgeous Fabrics, we want you to love your fabric as much as we do. But we realize that sometimes things just don't turn out right. So we do allow returns within 30 days of purchase. Returns must be in new condition: i.e. uncut and unwashed. If the fabric has been washed or cut, we will not take it back. Returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. We do not refund shipping costs, and return shipping is your responsibility.

Please contact us for a return authorization before sending back any fabric. We will not issue any refunds or credits without a return authorization. 

Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase, no exceptions. After 30 days, all sales are final.

If your fabric arrives damaged or is defective, of course we'll take care of you and handle all the return details. But you need to contact us for a return authorization in any case, and again, you MUST contact us within 30 days of purchase. 

Clearance or Outlet fabrics, fabrics labeled "AS IS", muslin, notions, tools, thread, and labels are final sale, and are not returnable.

If you need to cancel your order, please let us know ASAP. Once your order is cut (and that's usually the same day you place the order), it's subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Gorgeous Fabrics occasionally donates to select tax-exempt charitable and educational organizations only. If you would like us to provide an in-kind donation to your organization, please contact us. You must provide proof of IRS 501(c)(3) status to be considered. There are no exceptions to this rule.

At Gorgeous Fabrics, we take your privacy very seriously. We don't share your information with anyone, ever. We use cookies for tracking purposes, but we never share that and we don't use them for anything nefarious. If you have an account with us, you can update your settings (mailing list, etc) at any time. Also, if you ask us to delete your information, we will do that for you without any questions. Our platform is fully GDPR compliant. We want to be your trusted source for fabrics.
