Iridescent Silk Dupioni - Green Tourmaline
Oo la la! This fabulous silk has a beautiful color, like peridot or tourmaline. It's got bright green yarns in the weft and black in the warp, so it changes color as it catches the light. It's got a wonderful crisp hand. It's a perfect option for a dress, shirt, skirt, jacket, formalwear, or pants.
A note about Silk Dupioni - I know silk scares a lot of people. But dupioni is probably one of the easiest fabrics to work with. It doesn't slide as much as other types of silk, and you can even wash it. Keep in mind, if you put it in the washing machine, it will lose much of its shine, but it will retain a sheen, rather like pewter vs silver. Be sure to pre-treat if you want to machine dry it, because it may (will) shrink, so you want to get that out before you cut.
