About Gorgeous Fabrics

Hi, I'm Ann Steeves, owner of Gorgeous Fabrics. Welcome to the best fabric shop on the internet! I don't just sell fabric; I sew almost all my own clothes (for instance, the top and sweater I'm wearing in this picture), and I have since my mom taught me when I was 12 years old. I teach sewing at all levels, both in person and (coming soon) online. My class on Craftsy, "Sewing Knits Without a Serger" was a best seller. I am an author for Threads and the late, lamented Vogue Patterns Magazines, and a former Contributing Editor to SewStylish.com. I'm a member of the American Sewing Guild. I'm also the alter ego of The Pressinatrix.

I started Gorgeous Fabrics in 2007, when all the fabric stores in Boston were closing. I personally pick out every fabric you see here on the site, and I take great pride in finding you the best fabrics at great prices. I get fabrics from high-end designers all around the world. At Gorgeous Fabrics, We Bring the Garment District to Your Door™, or as my husband likes to say, "The fabrics are all gorgeous, and there's no fleece!"
