A note about Silk Dupioni - I know silk scares a lot of people. But dupioni is probably one of the easiest fabrics to work with. It doesn't slide as much as other types of silk, and you can even wash it. Keep in mind, if you put it in the washing machine, it will lose much of its shine, but it will retain a sheen, rather like pewter vs silver. Be sure to pre-treat if you want to machine dry it.
