I started this Chanel style blazer at #palmerpletsch sewing camp and just finished hand sewing all of the trim. It was a fabulous experience and collaboration with amazing sewists who helped me workshop the trim and incredible teachers Pati and Helen. Pattern is McCall’s #m8370with Fabric from @gorgeousfabrics and trim from my local craft store.
Could not get the sleeves in, the most awkward sleeve length, and so much up and down with the hem length. But now I can’t take it off because I really am enjoying the rogue features that I used to get this look.
The cotton poplin is fine quality purchased from @gorgeousfabrics a few times over the years.

This dress turned out to be one of my favorite makes and I wore it for both the welcome reception and the speakeasy - and honestly can’t wait to wear it again!
Fabrics: mostly stash… sequins on knit/net over rusty red sateen, and then the most stunning ivory silk matelasse used for the front insert was recently purchased from @gorgeousfabrics!
#rehearsaldinneroutfit is done ! I just finished hemming my@pacoperaltafor#voguepatternspants. I’ll wear them with my@stylarc#esmetop. Pants are Veronica Beard Viscose Stretch Crepe, top is Double Trouble Sequined Mesh. Both are available on the website.

I wore my “Madeline” t-shirt on a road trip to Long Island, styled it with my California niece and a cute baby, and made it from one yard of fabric in a sewing challenge: @frenchnavynow_ #thestellanteein@gorgeousfabrics organic cotton jersey

I made this jacket in an Open Lab at the Sewing and Design School. It is a design that I copied from my instructor Ryliss Bod. She customized the fit and made a pattern for me.
The fabric is 100% cotton sweatshirt fabric from Ann at @gorgeousfabrics.
Top: @grainlinestudio #lindensweatshirt in a @gorgeousfabrics organic cotton/lycra jersey that’s aging like fine wine.
Still haven’t had time to take out the basting but this is in my mind a posh work shirt. Made with a light weight cotton chambray purchased from @gorgeousfabrics
Ann made the Vogue Reissue of the classic Diane Von Furstenburg wrap dress, V2000, in Belt It Out ITY Jersey. See her writeup on the blog.
Black Velvet flocked denim jeans from @gorgeousfabrics. Amazing fabric!
Here's my take on the Hudson's Bay Blanket Capote, minus the wilderness mountain-man vibe. I knew when Ann at @gorgeousfabrics posted this Woolrich fabric that it would be perfect, so I never hesitated.
... The denim is a beautiful light and drapey fabric from @gorgeousfabrics which I topstitched in ivory. The roscoe is a handkerchief linen also from @gorgeousfabrics and I used french seams and lots of tiny hand stitches ...
Another Wardrobe By Me Tropical Shirt. (he) loves this shirt. The fabric is amazing. Did this with 2.5 yds of fabric including matching the pattern across the placket.
Tropical Shirt
Fabric: @gorgeousfabrics (LOVE this fabric!)
The pattern for this jacket is the free #paolaworkwearjacket from @fabricsstorecom, but the real star of the show is the fabric which is from @gorgeousfabrics💙
This is one of the most comfortable dresses ever. I'm wearing my first Cashmerette Appleton dress. My complete pattern review is posted on my blog today. The link is in my profile.

My blazer from @kennethdking‘s class! It’s based on the Closet Core Jasika blazer, but Kenneth King taught us how to change it to a shawl collar and make lining pieces for a half-lined jacket … Learning techniques through a project is my favorite way to learn!
Photo of my @mccallpatterncompany#V1780 blazer. This is definitely a keeper! Fabric is navy blue cashmere from Thom Browne, lined with equestrian print silk twill. This was a tailoring dream, and I get lots of wear from it!
