Are you in the Boston area or plan to be here on December 8th? Then come join me for a mini sewing retreat at Gorgeous Fabrics Galactic Headquarters in Billerica, MA from 11 AM to 2 PM!
Take a breather from the holiday hubbub and spend a few hours sewing with me! In this mini retreat, I'll help you work whatever project you choose. It's a chance to get away from the stress of the holidays and relax in a soothing environment with other sewing friends. Bring your sewing machine, and I'll have some specialized machines available to you:
- A serger, so you can try one out with my guidance
- A coverstitch machine, so you can try it out, and finish your knit hems just like they do in Ready to Wear
- The Pressinatrix's favorite tools, including a shoulder stand and the impossible to find (or if you can find one, impossible to afford) Press Buck!
You'll be able to use my tools, pick my brain, listen to stories, learn some cool stuff, get some work done on your project, and meet other like-minded sewists in the area. You can even shop Gorgeous Fabrics in person. There's no obligation to shop, but there will be a discount for students if you see something you like.
Cost of the Mini Retreat is $45. Class size is limited to 6, so everyone gets lots of attention. It will be fun, relaxing, and educational!
Please note: he retreat takes place in the Gorgeous Fabrics Studio, which is on the 2nd floor of a walkup. The building is NOT handicapped accessible. You must be able to climb stairs to get to the studio.
